Happening at BHS
June 24, 2019
On behalf of everyone here at Breton high, we want to wish students, their families and our community a very relaxing and enjoyable summer!
And a huge thank you to all our volunteers!
Exams: It is exam week here at BHS. The full exam schedule can be viewed on our website and newsletter. Students that are not writing are expected to be quiet in the halls and report to their assigned study hall.
Learning Commons: Library books, textbooks, chrome books and charging cords are now due.
Garden: Our carrots are up. A huge thank you to Willow Valley Greenhouse for donating tomatoes, peppers and herbs to our space. Our student will enjoy those healthy snacks in the fall!
Teachers: Breton High would like to send best wishes Mr. Gauvin. He has been a Math, Science and Foods teacher here for 6 years. He also led the Blacksmith and Games club. Good Luck to you and your teaching journey!
We would also like to welcome back Jayna Prusko to the Breton team! Jayna had a position here a few years back. She will be teaching Junior and Senior Language arts, Social and Foods.
Youth Drop-In Centre: At Breton Faith Covenant Church for Grade 7-12 on Fridays.
The final date is June 28.
Football: The spring season has come to an end. Unfortunately, due to the wet weather their last game here in Breton was cancelled. The Junior boys had a successful season. The Senior boys were named 3rd in the province for 6-man football. Which is quite the accomplishment considering we are one of the smallest schools! Way to go Cougars!
Travel Club: In spring of 2020, students and parents can travel to London, Paris, Florence, Rome and the Sorrento region over the course of 12 days. If you have any questions, contact Rhonda Monts at the school.
