Happening at BHS

September 30, 2019

Learning Commons:  Ms. Holmgren has put up a couple of book displays. one focusing on Indigenous print material and one with the first line of each book printed and attached to the book. Very interesting! Mrs. Carson wants to read all those books, lol!

Garden:   We are continuing to harvest our produce for our students to snack on.  We are still harvesting  carrots.  We are also serving some tomatoes which are ripening inside for us. Glad we got them picked before “Jack” visited.

Football: Congratulations to the  senior boys who remain UNDEFEATED.  Next home game is October 17, against Rimbey.

Volleyball:  The senior girls hosted Buck Mountain  last Wednesday and won all their games.  The  Junior girls attended a tournament in Wetaskiwin this past weekend.  The Gold team won Silver and the Blue team placed fifth. Congratulations to all the Lady Cougars.

Cross Country – Our students made a great showing at the LDAA runs last Wednesday. Our Grade 8 Girls Teams won the championship, with Meadow Drebert placing first individually and Renae Drebert placing fourth. This is the first time our school has won this meet. All the runners did well. Mention is also made to Jacob Drebert who placed ninth and Brayden Thorimbert who  placed twelfth.  Congratulations to all!
